How many of you love Andhra style pepper chicken? We tried making this at home. This recipe is more of a restaurant-style dish. These days, gastropubs come out with several appetizers that go well with drinks and this recipe falls in that category. I can’t remember exactly which restaurant I tried this dish but one evening I was desperately craving some spicy peppery chicken dish.

Saying that, there are days when you like to eat some spicy food and this one perfectly fits into that category

Smoothie and healthy? Are you big on smoothies and shakes? Summer means smoothies for us or protein shakes for breakfast. It’s the end of February and the mercury is already on the rise. I can foresee the air conditioners becoming a constant feature within a couple of weeks. And then will begin the long daunting and humid summer. Breakfast smoothies and afternoon milkshakes will literally take over our lives. Also, with covid still working and mutating, we do need immunity boosters. So here I am, sharing a terrific immunity booster orange carrot ginger smoothie. And trust me, it tastes fabulous.

Like every year its the time of the festival of colours and one of the indispensable part of Holi is food. Since this is a Festival which almost announces the onset of summers in India — the coolers are in demand.

This recipe is a combination of two best parts of Holi — Thandai and Kulfi. Thandai paste can be made easily with Poppy Seeds, Fenel Seeds, Melon seeds, Black pepper, dried rose petals, Almonds, Cashews, Saffron and Sugar.

Then make the Kulfi out of it. Unlike Ice cream, Kulfi doesn't need any churning or heavy cream or whipping. Its made with full-fat milk.

There are hardly few left yet each one boasts of a past that has seen stalwarts, revolutionaries and freedom fighters visiting them. Some have got raided for activities related to the freedom struggle. One thing never changed — the simplicity of the food and loyalists.

Read about one such place called — Hotel Sidheshwaroi Ashram Kolkata and how three women across two generations are running them —

Every family has its own recipe. Some use whole eggs, some use only the yolk. Some cook the yolk and some mix it raw. There are some, who use egg whites and cream, some use only egg whites. It really doesn’t matter as long as you have the basics right. Most often, Italians make their tiramisu in a deep dish with a fluted top. And they don’t really care about the perfect squares that you see in photos. The squares are mostly American. Italians like to dig into the bowl.

There is no authentic tiramisu recipe, rather each family has one of their own. Check out the recipe here
